How To Sell At Auction

Wonder how much your art or object or collection might be worth and how to sell it? follow the steps below and our team of specialists will review your submission at no cost and provide preliminary estimates for items that can be included in one of our sales channels in 10 to 15 days.

Becoming a Vendor

Becoming a seller, or vendor, is a simple process. You can fill out a form either online or in person to receive your individual vendor code, usually a three-letter code used for processing and identifying your items. Our fees start at a 22.5% commission on sales plus a $10 lotting fee (Furniture $20-$40), covering the research, description, and photography of your items. Reserves can be placed on items for auction.

Consigning Your Items

Getting your items onto our showroom floor is easy. Most vendors drop off their items at our warehouse entrance for inventory and storage. Alternatively, we offer collection services for those unable to visit. Contact us to make an appointment for delivery of your items. We can help with collections just get in touch. It's helpful to take photos or write an inventory of your items when leaving them with us. Reserves can be discussed at this point. All reserves are set prior to the auction going live.

What Happens Next?

Once processed, you'll receive descriptions and reserves for your items. Monitor your vendor profile and inbox for updates and notifications when your lots go online. If a reserve is not met at the close of the auction an email will be sent to you to notify you of the bid amount, you may choose to sell at the bid amount. At that same point in time, the bidder gets an email to notify them of the reserve, if they come up to the reserve the sale will be made. (Both parties have the following 24 hours to get back in touch). Payment is typically made to your nominated bank account. If an item doesn't sell after two attempts, you can choose to collect it or have it donated/disposed of.
