Lot 24 - A large assortment of mixed vintage and WWII era ephemera and photography relating to Australian and American military forces in Queensland during the war and beyond, from the collection of Allan J. Campbell AM, OBE (b.1904 - d.2001) including images of MacArthur, Eleanor Roosevelt, and other notable names; a collection of newspaper clippings, original photographs of diggers training in the bush, probably at Atherton, including the 9th Australian Division

Campbell was involved in many areas of Brisbane life during the 1940s, including being the Managing Director of the Trocadero Dansant music hall, owner of Campbell Advertising, and President of the 'Australian American Association' as well as working in an information officer capacity with the RAAF and other military organisations, heavily involved in promoting friendly relations between Australian and American troops in particular; many of these photographs and publications would have been part of that effort

Various conditions; some wear staining and tear to various pieces, some with inscriptions
