Vendor report on lot: "Known as the 'Mountain Kern', these items were the ones used in the early days of the Snowy Mountains scheme, back when surveyors were on horseback."

Only evident damage is to the leather handle on theodolite casing, everything else appears in well kept condition with some wear from use.
