Lot 58 - An 1870s Italian Made Hall Table of generous proportions and elaborately decorated with mythological creatures from the Brisbane home ���Merthyr��� of Samuel Walker Griffith, lawyer, who was Premier of Queensland at that time. Sir Samuel went on to become one of the prime movers of federation, principal draftsman of the constitution and first Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia after Federation in 1901.
