ID - 429979 - Neil Boughton (b 1959, Australian), a unique pot with rust like glazing and turquoise glaze centre, signed to base 'N Boughton' and 'Aust', accompanied by a small handmade earthenware trinket dish inscribed 'J Cahill' to base, attributed to Jan (Janice) Cahill (active late 20th century, Australian), a raku specialist and glass artist based in Dapto NSW

Broughton established his studio after training under several master potters. He has been experimenting with stoneware, wood-fired raku processes and glazes since the early 80s, to produce a signature style that combines forms influenced by antiquities with novel firing and glazing treatments.
