Jagamara, a senior elder and artist based in Papunya, is an internationally recognised painter whose practice began with sand paintings, body painting and paintings on objects such as shields. Over time he also Began painting in acrylic on canvas; Examples of his work are held in many Australian state and national institutions, and in private collections in Australia and internationally. Jagamara has exhibited widely in Australia and internationally; and has been Recognised by the NATSIA Prize (1984), and finalist in many others, including the Wynne Prize (2008). In 1993 he Received the Order of Australia for services to Aboriginal Art.

ID - 419205 - A late 19th century William and Mary revival dining suite consisting of a sideboard, extension dining table and six chairs, all in excellent condition for age.

The sideboard is oak construction with burr walnut veneers and marquetry inlay of fruitwood decoration which is repeated on the dining chairs. The sideboard sits on the typical William and Mary style bun feet with turned uprights and serpentine stretchers. The matching oak dining table has two extension leaves and the original wooden handle and mechanism which operates smoothly. The 6 chairs have shaped fiddle backs, leather upholstery, serpentine stretchers and inlay matching the sideboard.
